Layang Layang Island

A truly oceanic island where one can easily find a thriving pelagic marine life. The surrounding sea level is approximately 2000m deep and the island is located merely 300km from Kota Kinabalu, Borneo. Now, everyone can fly to the island with a private flight from Kota Kinabalu. Hence, kick start your adventure by catching some sleep and get up early the following morning.

Being located close to the heart of South China Sea, expect limited access to elements from anything beyond the shores. As most will be utilizing a private flight from Kota Kinabalu, a vacation in town before or after your dive trip is always an option.

The island is open to public from March to August annually.

However, you’ll stand a high chance to meet schools of hammerhead shark in month of April during their mating season. Looking to get the best value out of your money? Come as close to April as possible!

Mamutik Island

Mamutik Island Kota Kinabalu is a less crowded island, then the rest of the lot and approximately 3 kilometers away from the main city of Kota Kinabalu in Sabah. The Pulau is about 15 acres in size. 

Mamutik Island Kota Kinabalu also has a long 200 meter stretch of white sandy beaches that offer privacy due to less tourist activities. The tourist generally prefers Sapi Island & Manukan Island as both are well developed and offer rich marine life experience.

Manukan Island

The second-largest island in Tunku Abdul Rahman Park (TARP). Just a boat ride away from Kota Kinabalu, it is known as one of the best snorkeling areas in the vicinity, with great stretches of shoreline on the southern coastline. Spend free time playing beach volleyball, swimming, snorkeling, or hiking the walking trail to Sunrise Point. Minivan transport, boat transfers, snorkel gear, and a barbecue lunch are all provided.

Sapi Island

Sapi is one of the five islands making up the Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park, a national park established in 1974 covering 50 sq km of the islands and their surrounding reefs.

Sapi Island is one of the most popular places in Sabah to swim, snorkel and relax and it is just 20 minutes boat ride away from Kota Kinabalu. 

Sepanggar Island

Few words to associate with Mari Mari Sepanggar Island; turqoise, colorful and and white. Turqoise waters, colorful reefs and white sandy beach, that is!

It is just 10 minutes boat ride from Jesselton Point. This island is twice the size of Manukan Island but with less crowd. Not many know of this island and it is a perfect island for you should you want a more quiet or private visit.
